Andy's well known for his expertise in leadership and motivation, much of it learned during his time as captain of Scotland's rugby team. He has now delivered some excellent Zoom webinars to over 300 of my team covering different approaches to personal resilience. Feedback has been great, and the seminars have been informative and thought-provoking. We now have a practical toolkit that will help us cope better with the extended period working from home that lies ahead.

This was the first course I had been on that was purely focused on personal development. What I often say to people when I talk about ACCELERATE is that it ‘lit a fire in my belly’. I loved the programme, and took a huge amount away from it, particularly about myself. Very few Senior Manager roles come up, so when the one I’m in now came up, I went for it. It was a bit of a gamble; I did a huge amount of preparation for the interview referring back to my course notes. In my interviews I referenced a tonne of what I’d learned about myself from the course. HR were present in the first interview, and they were particularly impressed with feedback I was able to reference from the course. I was delighted when I was offered the job. I felt I had something to prove (probably more to myself), and that I did!

I like the commitment planner and accountability pods. This will take additional steps to ensure change happens as opposed to going on a training course and then falling back into bad practice because it is easy and habitual. “Practise makes permanent”.

This was a real breath of fresh air as I have done similar training in other companies and was nowhere near as interesting or relevant. I was treated as an adult/professional and felt like I would use the information in business and everyday life. Incisive and adept commentary. Training courses can sometimes be theoretical but seeing it in practice in such an elite environment was brilliant. The relationship of each goal put back to our company mission, really helped put the concept of leadership into perspective.
