Fit for the Future

David Nikolich

We asked David Nikolich, our MD, founder and the creator of our award-winning learning and development programmes, to share his thoughts on how our Hybrid Working Programme can help organisations get ready for the future of work.

“So, all we have ever known about coming to work gets blown away overnight with the introduction of lockdown at the start of the recent pandemic. How’s that going to work we all shouted in unison. Well, it did work, and for many we adapted so well that we no longer entertain the idea of going back into the office, unless we must.

But that’s not the whole story...

There are several reasons to foster a hybrid culture and most of them revolve around the employees. We have unwittingly become insular machines, producing copious amounts of workloads every day from our carefully designed or makeshift offices. In the long term though, we need more.

By shifting the balance between home and office life, we integrate and collaborate better. We break down our self-imposed silos. We inadvertently create more self-development time and pass that on by nurturing others. We lead with new conversations and gain confidence in other areas.

So, what’s the trade-off? The commute into the office of course and perhaps the idea that the people you want to connect with will probably be at home that day. This is where we encourage you to work on changing the narrative; Those stories we tell ourselves to justify our actions for an easier or quieter life.

Our Hybrid Working Programme has helped businesses empower their people to become the new role models of the future.
