Virtual delivery is here to stay

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented serious issues for most businesses. But for ABSTRACT, challenges are something to be overcome with ambitious and creative thinking. Which is why the team have turned complications into opportunities, by taking our award-winning face to face programmes into the virtual world.

At ABSTRACT, we have always stayed nimble, and looked for ways to ensure we can be resilient in any circumstances. When lockdown hit, for instance, we were able to work remotely as a team with minimal disruption because we’d already been working that way since 2007. And while we have always been known for our face-to-face training and development programmes, we already had our virtual offerings in place. Although the demand had never been significant in the past, our research of industry trends suggested that at some point in the future, virtual learning would be in demand.

So as 2020 came steaming in, we worked hard to bring forward these future plans. We were able to deploy our virtual delivery programmes in short order. Which was fortunate, because there was a huge surge in demand from the many businesses throughout the world that desperately needed ways to upskill and inspire their locked-down staff.

In the last few months many delegates from companies of all sizes, including several FTSE 100 companies, have commissioned our virtual programmes, and the results are in… our virtual programmes are delivering positive feedback, and have created the same impact and outputs as our face-to-face programmes.

“ABSTRACT have now delivered some excellent Zoom webinars to over 300 of my team covering different approaches to personal resilience. Feedback has been great, and the seminars have been informative and thought-provoking. We now have a practical toolkit that will help us cope better with the extended period working from home that lies ahead.”

Virtual is here to stay

We believe that even as lockdown lifts, some of the changes we’ve made in 2020 will be here to stay. And one of those will be the increased popularity of virtual delivery training courses. After all, there are several advantages to this method, such as reduced travel costs, convenience, and the positive effects it has on people’s work/life balance. And with many businesses looking to maintain remote working patterns in the long term, it’s a sure-fire way to get everybody on a team in the same place, even if they live on different continents.

So at our end, that means our virtual programmes will remain available even after social distancing is relaxed, a key part of our proposition alongside our face-to-face programmes, and a blended approach that offers the best of both.

After all, flexibility is good for everyone.

We are currently work with clients based in the UK, Ireland and internationally, particularly in Europe, Asia and North America.
But wherever you may be, our virtual courses will come to you.
