Upcoming events – a shared sense of purpose

ABSTRACT look to drive positive change and we support noble causes that help to make the business world a fairer and better place. One of the ways we do this is by collaborating with organisations with a shared sense of purpose and who align with our mission statement of 'improving business through people.'
Here are some of our upcoming events that we shall be delivering in the coming weeks and months of 2023:
Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF)
On 8th February, David Nikolich is delivering an event with Women in Banking and Finance for their members and event partners NatWest Group on 7 Key Elements to Wellbeing. David will share our Top Tips for the Workplace at this virtual event that forms part of WIBF's Personal Excellence Programme and is open to guests for a small fee.
WIBF is a non-profit organisation supported by individual membership and the sponsorship of global financial services companies, major banks and firms servicing the industry. With their partnerships, WIBF reach thousands of professionals across the UK and Ireland through a variety of valuable and highly sought after events that address the needs and aspirations of their members and sponsors to develop, showcase and retain female talent and contribution. Women in Banking and Finance challenge the industry to adopt new ideas and address structural barriers and their ambition is to be the biggest gender network in the UK.

The HR World
The HR World is a unique network who bring like-minded HR professionals together with the aim of furthering the future of work. Through original content and bespoke, immersive and outcome based events, senior HR people collaborate and problem solve to support their business and personal ambitions.
The HR World have invited Sue Liburd MBE DL from ABSTRACT to speak at their virtual network on 21st March. Sue will be asking if diversity, equality and inclusion is both desirable and attainable, then why hasn’t it happened yet and will be encouraging HR professionals to reshape their thinking for action.

Inclusive Companies
On 22nd March 2023, Mark Fryer and Anne Clarke will be presenting an online event for Inclusive Companies on the topic Career Management and how you can help your people to harness their full potential? Mark and Anne will share their insight and significant experience on why we think it is important for employers to develop their people, particularly looking at the advancement of women and under-represented groups.
Then later on 16th May, Mark will be joined by Sue Liburd to share our thoughts on Inclusive Leadership and what you can do to improve the capability of your people by focusing on their cultural competence and equality, diversity and inclusion development. Inclusive Companies is a cross industry network harnessing best practices & innovation to drive inclusion for all.

We are pleased and proud to be working with these organisations and their networks. Collaborating with them enables us to share our vision with forward-thinking leading companies and their people.
We shall also be hosting a series of free to join ABSTRACT virtual events on topics such as Career Management, Business Development and Inclusive Leadership. These will be aimed at business and HR leaders, learning and development professionals and equality, diversity and inclusion specialists. Details will be published shortly so look out for these.
