Can corporate culture be measured?
Nick Goddard
The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is remaining focused on corporate culture. Indeed, a recent article published by them, 'Grasping the Ungraspable' explores this question, asserting that "Culture is strategy" and argues for a nuanced approach. (1)
The FCA urges firms to develop purposeful cultures, leading to good outcomes for their customers, employees and investors.
Through ABSTRACT's own research and working with our clients, we have discovered that there needs to be clear connectivity between the organisation’s vision and the delivery of their purpose through the characterisation and full engagement of their people. This in turn will enable appropriate reasoning (judgement) and create best alternative choices (decision making) so reliable action can be taken to drive the purpose of the Company.
We believe that improving our client’s ability to culturally transform through character alignment will help them to make the right decisions to drive their business forward.
Our pioneering Cultural Transformation Programme
is changing the way our delegates behave, think and act at all levels. In February, ABSTRACT and our client, 7IM, jointly won the coveted Gold Award
for External Learning Solution of the Year at the 2021 Learning Awards, by the Learning & Performance Institute (LPI) for a cutting edge cultural transformation programme. Presenting the award with host Claudia Winkelman, Edmund Monk, CEO of the LPI, said "That category had so many entries in it. It's an outstanding achievement to win that". (2)
