Since our recent article on 'What's Happening With The Gender Pay Gap', it's now been announced that because of the ongoing pandemic, firms will have another six months (until the 5th of October 2021) to submit their Gender Pay Gap data (1). Reporting has been suspended since 2020 due to Coronavirus.
The Equalities and Human Rights Commission have said that the additional delay "strikes the right balance" between supporting business and the regulation. Although other commentators have been more critical in light of evidence that the pandemic is adversely affecting women at work in particular. There are also growing calls to introduce ethnicity pay reporting.
